TRAVEL CONSULTANT

Travel has always meant more to me than simply going on holiday.

Growing up, my family didn’t have the opportunity to travel abroad, but we spent many wonderful summers exploring the UK, especially Devon, Cornwall and Wales. Those trips taught me that beauty and adventure can be found anywhere, and they sparked a curiosity about the wider world that never left me.

As a teenager, I dreamed constantly of travelling overseas.

I would buy books about different countries and read about opportunities for students to work abroad, imagining the places I might one day see. At 21, that dream finally became reality when I was selected to work on a summer camp in the USA. My very first flight was to New York, and from that moment on, my passion for travel truly began.

Since then, I have been fortunate enough to experience so many incredible destinations and adventures.

I have travelled to Australia, USA, Cuba, Europe and the Maldives, enjoyed Caribbean and transatlantic cruises, got married in Mauritius, explored South Africa on safari and along the Garden Route, and snorkelled with whale sharks in Mexico. Along the way, I have also discovered a love for diving, hiking, kayaking, zip lining and off-road adventures.

Some experiences will stay with me forever, especially hiking Yosemite Falls and Lion’s Head in Cape Town, both of which reminded me just how breathtaking our world can be. I also love discovering the atmosphere and traditions of European Christmas markets, soaking up the magic and culture that make each destination unique.

While my travels are becoming a little less adrenaline-fuelled and a little more focused on wildlife, wine tasting and cookery experiences, my desire for adventure and discovery is just as strong as ever. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures and creating memories that last a lifetime.
